Full Mouth Debridement FAQ

1) What is a full mouth debridement?

This is a very specific procedure that  is only used when the doctor cannot reliably diagnose your periodontal condition or presence of decay due to excessive tartar covering the teeth. The debridement will focus on removing tartar buildup that is at or above the gums. The buildup that exists below the gum line is not removed. A debridement is not meant to be final cleaning, but is meant to assist in the accurate diagnosis of dental conditions.
